How to Book Your Gone International Trip

Booking a group trip can feel like a big decision, especially when you are travelling solo, joining people you have not met yet or booking with us for the first time.
So here is exactly how it works.
From choosing your trip to booking flights, meeting your group and heading off together, we will guide you through each step. No guessing, no pressure and no need to have every detail of your life figured out before you reserve your place.

Before you book: what you need to know
Gone International Ltd. was launched in 2025 and is the UK based sister travel company to Girl Gone International CIC established in 2010.
We have been bringing women together across the world since 2010.
Our trips are designed for women who want more than a holiday. They are for people who want to explore the world safely, easily, together.
Our experiences are for women who want to go somewhere new, meet like-minded women from around the world and have the comfort of a likeminded, caring group, local hosts and a clear plan without losing the freedom to make the experience their own.
Most people come on their own. Many arrive nervous. Most leave with new friends, new confidence and a feeling that they have been part of something really special.
You do not need to know anyone. You just need to be ready for a good adventure.
How booking works
1. Choose the trip that feels right for you
Start by looking through our upcoming trips and reading the full trip page.
You will find the dates, destination, what is included, accommodation style, room options, activity level, price, payment information and anything else you need to know before reserving.
Flights are not included, as women join us from all over the world. This gives you the flexibility to choose the route, airline and travel dates that work best for you.

2. Reserve your place with a deposit
When you are ready, click REGISTER on your chosen trip and pay the deposit securely through Stripe. The register button is at the top of each trip page. If you are feeling nervous or unsure, send us a Whasapp and we can video call with you.
When you click this button, you may see various room type options. Click the one you want. You can most often change this later, don't worry.
Your deposit reserves your space on the trip and starts your booking process.
You will receive confirmation that we have received your reservation, along with clear information about what happens next.
A deposit is generally non-refundable after 72 hours because it holds your place and allows us to make arrangements for the group. If you cancel within this 72 hours, you will receive a refund minus £10 admin fee.

If a trip does not reach the minimum number of bookings needed to go ahead, your deposit will be refunded in full.
No awkward chasing. No uncertainty. We will tell you clearly what is happening.
3. We confirm the trip before you book flights
Some trips are already confirmed when you book. Others are still gathering the minimum number of travellers needed to run.
We aim to confirm trips around three months before departure, often much sooner. This gives everyone time to book flights at a sensible price and make travel plans with confidence.
Once your trip is confirmed, we will email you within three days with:
Confirmation that the trip is going ahead
Guidance on when to book your flights
Arrival and departure information
Your payment schedule
The next steps for getting trip-ready
Please do not book flights until you receive our confirmation email.
We know it can be tempting when you spot a good fare, but waiting protects you. If a trip does not reach the required minimum booking numbers, it will not go ahead and your deposit will be refunded in full.
We will never leave you hanging until the last minute.
4. Pay your remaining balance safely
Your deposit reserves your place. The remaining trip balance is then handled separately through Trust My Travel.
Trust My Travel holds the remaining trip funds in an independent trust account until after the trip takes place. This is part of the payment structure we use to meet the requirements that apply to UK and EU package travel.
In simple terms: your money is handled properly and transparently.
You will receive clear payment dates once your trip is confirmed.
Payment Plans
Payment plans may also be possible on request, so please ask early if spreading the cost would make things easier. The earlier you book, the more payment plans (paying in instalments) is possible. Our payment plans have no additional costs to you.
5. Get ready to travel with your new group
Once your trip is confirmed, the fun part begins.
Before you travel, you will get to know your hosts and the other women joining you through group chats and pre-trip calls.

You will receive the practical information you need, from packing guidance and arrival details to dietary requirements, rooming and anything else relevant to your trip.
You will not be turning up to a random group of strangers with no idea what is happening.
You will arrive already knowing names, faces and the people who will be sharing the adventure with you.
Then all that is left to do is pack your bag, book your flights once confirmed and get excited.

Questions people often ask
Do I need to know someone to come?
No. Most women book alone.
That is the point of a Gone International trip. You can travel independently while having a group around you from the start.
When should I book my flights?
Only after you receive the official trip confirmation email from us.
We will tell you when the trip is confirmed, where to fly into and out of and the arrival and departure times you need to work around.
What happens if the trip does not go ahead?
If we do not receive the minimum number of bookings needed to run the trip, we will cancel the trip and refund your deposit in full.
We aim to make this decision around three months before departure, usually earlier.
Is my deposit refundable if I change my mind?
Deposits are generally non-refundable because they reserve your place and allow us to plan the trip. The exception is if Gone International cancels the trip because it has not reached the minimum number of bookings required.

What if I have to cancel before the trip?
Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully before you book.
Can I pay in instalments?
Every trip has a payment schedule. In some cases, we can arrange a payment plan, so contact us as early as possible if that would help.
Are flights included?
No. Our travellers come from many different countries, so flights are booked individually once the trip is confirmed.
We will give you clear guidance on the airport, arrival window and departure timing.
What if I have a disability?
Please talk to us and we will talk about your specific needs and we can give you an honest opinion if this trip / country is going to be accessible for you and we can see what we can do to make it accessible for you.
What if I have concerns about food, allergies etc?
Please talk to us and we will talk about your specific situation and we will liaise with our providers on the ground, get the answers you need and a plan in place before you reserve your place.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Travel insurance is required for all Gone International trips. It is there to protect you if plans change, you need medical support or something unexpected happens before or during your travels.
What if I need a visa?
While we can't help you with your personal visa situation, we can help you with the paperwork you need from us such as confirmation of the booking, reservation, a letter etc. Just ask us. We have lots of experience with this. Please apply for your visa ASAP.
What if I have questions before I book?
Ask us. You can email us, whatsapp us and you can even book a call with Anne, the founder or one of our hosts who can answer any questions you have. Please don't feel awkward about reaching out, we are here for you and we love questions and helping out!
It is completely normal to have questions about the destination, rooming, activity level, travelling solo, payments, flights or whether the trip is right for you. We are happy to help you make a decision you feel good about.
