FAQ Pricing and Payments

How to Pay – Wherever You Are in the World

How do I reserve my place on a trip?

To secure your place, you’ll need to pay the deposit by the deadline. This is the only way to guarantee your spot.

How do payments work?

Once your deposit is paid, we’ll guide you through a customised payment plan. Trips must be paid in full 30 days before departure, as we often need to pre-pay accommodation and activities. You can choose to pay in one go or in smaller instalments, just let us know what works best for you.

Is there a deposit? When is the balance due?

Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required when booking. The balance is due 30 days before the trip. If you’re booking close to the trip start date, your full payment may be due right away but we’ll always do our best to help you plan.

Can I pay in instalments or set up a payment plan?

Yes! We offer flexible instalment plans, and we’re happy to customise one that works for your budget. Just speak with us.

What currency do I pay in?

Prices are listed in UK Pounds (GBP). Our payment platform may show your local currency, but we recommend choosing GBP at checkout and letting your bank handle the conversion for the best rate.

Is the trip refundable if I need to cancel?

Please check our Terms & Conditions for cancellation policies, and get in touch if you have questions.

Can I pay using Klarna?

Yes! You can choose Klarna at checkout (where available), which allows you to pay in instalments or split the payment later depending on your location and Klarna’s terms. It’s a great way to make the trip more manageable financially. If Klarna doesn’t show up as an option for you, just get in touch and we’ll help you find the best way to pay.

Can I pay using WeChat?

Currently, no - we don’t yet support WeChat payments. But we’re always exploring new options, especially ones that make it easier for our global community to join. If WeChat is your only option, get in touch and we’ll do our best to find a solution for you.

I don’t have a credit or debit card - can I still pay?

Yes, just speak with us directly and we’ll find a way that works for you. Depending on your location, we can offer bank transfers, PayPal, or alternative methods to secure your spot. We understand that GGI is a global community, and not everyone pays the same way. We're also working with our financial protection partner to add more payment options in future so you can join, no matter where you’re starting from.

How are my payments protected?

Your payments are handled through a secure financial protection system designed specifically for international travel experiences. This means that:

  • Your money is held safely in a protected account until your trip is delivered.
  • In the unlikely event of trip cancellation or unforeseen circumstances, you’re covered and eligible for a refund according to our Terms & Conditions.
  • We work with a regulated third-party protection partner who ensures your payment is never at risk and that everything is fully compliant with international consumer protection standards.

We're committed to transparency, safety, and fairness so you can book with peace of mind, knowing your money and your experience are in good hands.

These trips are too expensive for me - what can I do?

We hear you. Our trips may feel out of reach right now and that’s okay. You’re not alone in feeling this way.

At GGI, we do everything we can to keep prices fair while ensuring the trip is safe, beautiful, meaningful, and community-funded. Most of the cost goes toward accommodation, transportation, local partners, and meals - not profit. In fact, any extra helps keep GGI’s global, free community events alive in over 250 cities.

But if now’s not the time, here’s what you can do:

  • Join our free GGI events in your city or online - they’re just as warm, meaningful, and connection-filled.
  • Use the instalment plan or Klarna option to spread out payments and make it easier.
  • Keep in touch - we’re working on lower-cost, shorter, and more local trips in the future, and we’d love to see you there.
  • Talk to us - sometimes we can offer flexibility or support in ways that aren’t always obvious on the booking form.
