Arrive through the day. Today we will explore Munich with our local GGI hosts. We’ll wander through historic streets, leafy parks and riverside paths, including the English Garden and the famous Eisbach surfers.
After some free time for lunch, we’ll join a professional local guide for a deeper dive into Munich’s history, architecture, and stories, bringing the city to life beyond what you’d see on your own.
Evening welcome dinner together in our favourite local restaurant.

This morning is relaxed. Sleep in, enjoy breakfast, and take your time getting ready.
Late morning, we’ll head to Frühlingsfest, Munich’s Spring Festival, often described as a smaller, more local version of Oktoberfest. With a reserved table, we’ll settle in together to enjoy traditional food, music, and the lively festival atmosphere.
After our group time, the afternoon and evening are free to explore the festival further - rides, music, people-watching, or simply soaking up the joyful energy at your own pace.

After breakfast, we’ll head out for a relaxed cultural morning.
Late morning, we’ll gather at a local social community space for a hands-on creative workshop. Over coffee and cake, we’ll design and stamp our own GGI tote bags. No experience needed - this is about making something with your hands and sharing easy conversation after a full weekend together. We will finish our trip with a closing circle and dinner in a local favourite restaurant.
Next day, have breakfast, check out and go back but with new friends and memories!

A trip is confirmed when we receive enough bookings (help spread the word about this trip!). As soon as we receive enough bookings we will send an email to tell you the trip is 100% confirmed and then you can book your flights!
Fly into Munich Airport (MUC) or arrive by train to Munich Central Station.
The city centre is easy to reach by public transport, taxi or ride-hailing apps.
We include a 48-hour public transport pass to make getting around simple.
We will start at 12pm on Friday so we recommend arriving for then but don't worry if you have to arrive later. Just try to be there for the Welcome Dinner.
Get yourself to our hotel to check in. We will provide you will instructions closer to the time.

Absolutely. Most guests join solo. You’ll be thoughtfully room-matched via our tried and tested questionnaire, and the whole trip is designed to feel safe, supportive, and social without pressure.

This trip is open to all women and non-binary people. You do not need to be part of a GGI local group. Many participants join solo, and everyone is welcomed with warmth and inclusion.
Most travellers are between 30 and 55, but we welcome adults of all ages. If you are older or younger at heart and open to connection, you’ll fit right in. We really don't care about age - being an international woman has nothing to do with age and everything to do about moving around the world in a meaningful way!
If you have been an active Girl Gone International volunteer for over 6 months hosting and upholding your promise to the community to host free events / create conversation in the community then you are entitled to a thank you trip gift! Just ask Anne!

Check if your current medical insurance or other provider such as your credit card covers medical emergencies in Germany. You must be covered for medical emergencies so if you are not, please purchase travel insurance for this trip.
You are very welcome. Many of our travellers are in their 50s or 60s. We accommodate a range of needs, and you can choose how much or how little you participate. If you have mobility concerns, chronic pain, or another condition, just let us know through the comfort form so we can support you properly.
Yes. We create a calm, inclusive space with structure, flexibility, and respect. You can opt in or out of activities. If you have specific needs or preferences, you're encouraged to share them in advance so we can accommodate you.

Yes. GGI is an international community and many of us speak English as a second or third language. You will be understood and supported.
This trip is moderate activity. Max 10k steps per day spread across the day. We will be using public transport.
Each day includes a mix of structured group experiences and free time. You are encouraged to listen to your energy and do what feels right for you. You can join everything or take quiet time when needed.
Comfortable walking shoes, layers for spring weather, and something nice for evenings.
Optional: a light jacket, small day bag, and a traditional outfit if you’d like to wear one.
Early May in Munich is mild and spring-like, with daytime temperatures around 10–18°C.
Expect some sunshine, cooler evenings, and the occasional rain — layers are ideal.
