Is Gone International Right for You?
Gone International trips are designed for a very specific way of travelling and a very specific way of being together.
They’re not for everyone.
And that’s intentional.
Gone International might be right for you if…
You’re a woman (trans women or non binary person) who:
-
Values kindness, openness, and emotional intelligence
- Is curious about the world and the people in it
- Is happy to travel independently, but doesn’t want to do it alone
- Appreciates thoughtful pacing, meaningful experiences and good company
- Understands that community works best when everyone participates
You don’t need to be loud, fearless, or endlessly energetic.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You just need to be willing to show up with respect, generosity, and care for yourself and for others.
Our trips are especially loved by women who…
- Consider themselves international, live abroad or have done so
- Are in a transition of some kind (big or small)
- Are rebuilding community or craving deeper connection
- Want to travel with people they’ll genuinely enjoy being around
- Prefer warmth and depth over hype or status
Many women come alone. Most leave with new friends.
Gone International might not be right for you if…
- You’re looking for luxury without effort or participation
- You expect to be entertained rather than involved
- You prefer a party-first or dating-focused travel vibe
- You’re uncomfortable with difference, diversity, or shared space
- You’re not interested in being part of a collective group experience
This doesn’t make anyone “wrong”.
It just means the fit isn’t right and that’s okay.
A note on care, safety, and belonging
Girl Gone International (GGI) and Gone International (GI) believe that friendship is free and community is a right.
That’s why our GGI local communities and events will always be free.
Gone International exists to offer carefully designed travel experiences that help sustain those communities ethically, transparently, and with care.
We don’t charge for belonging or friendship.
We assume it.
What you’re paying for is the travel itself: the logistics, the experiences, the hosts, the fair pay, and the work required to do this properly while supporting a global non-profit community (GGI) at the same time.
One last thing
You don’t need to know everyone on a Gone International trip.
But you should feel confident that the people around you will be kind.
That’s what we work hard to protect.
If that resonates, you’re very welcome here.
