What makes GGI trips different from other tours?
GGI trips aren’t tours - they’re transformational community experiences designed by women who live internationally, for women who live internationally. You won’t be herded from stop to stop or following a flag. Instead, you’ll be welcomed into a small group of open-hearted women, sharing deep conversations, spontaneous adventures, and the kind of connection that lasts.
But what truly makes us different goes deeper than the vibe:
We’re committed to doing this the right way - legally, safely, and sustainably.
While many small-group retreats and trips are run informally (and often without legal protection or compliance), we’ve invested heavily to do this properly. GGI trips are:
- Fully compliant with EU travel regulations
- Financially protected, with your payments securely held until your trip is delivered
- Run through a legally registered travel entity, with appropriate insurance, risk management, and accountability
- Hosted by trained, experienced GGI community leaders, not unregulated freelancers
You deserve a travel experience that’s both magical and responsibly managed - and that’s exactly what we offer.
Is this part of Girl Gone International (GGI)?
Yes - and also, not quite. These trips are created by the same people who lead Girl Gone International, and all profits go directly back into supporting the GGI nonprofit mission.
But for legal and financial protection reasons, Gone International (GI) - the trip and experience platform - operates as a separate registered entity. This separation allows us to meet all the requirements needed to safely organise group travel, while still fully supporting the GGI community.
In short:
- Girl Gone International is the global nonprofit community.
-
Gone International is the platform we use to legally and safely organise experiences for that community.
Both work together, with shared leadership, purpose, and values so your trip funds the mission, but protects you as a traveller.
Where does the money go?
Every trip you book helps fund Girl Gone International - a nonprofit that runs over 8,000 free events a year, supports women across 90+ countries, and keeps our online spaces welcoming and safe. You’re not just paying for a trip. You’re investing in belonging for women around the world.
