Gone International trips are built on one simple belief:
How we travel together matters as much as where we go.
This Code of Care exists to protect the experience for guests, hosts, and the wider community we’re part of.
By joining a Gone International trip, you’re agreeing to be part of a collective built on respect, kindness, and care.
What you can expect from us
We commit to:
- Creating a welcoming, inclusive, women-centred space (trans women and non binary people are welcome)
- Designing experiences with safety, thoughtfulness, and intention
- Working with local women and ethical partners wherever possible
- Hosting with care, clarity, and fairness
- Supporting you throughout the journey practically and emotionally
- Holding clear boundaries to protect the group dynamic
Our hosts are experienced community builders.
They are there to guide, support, and care not to police or perform.
What we ask of you
We ask that you:
- Treat fellow travellers, hosts, and locals with respect
- Participate in the group experience in good faith
- Communicate openly and kindly
- Take responsibility for your own needs and wellbeing
- Respect differences in background, culture, pace, and personality
- Understand that shared experiences require flexibility and goodwill
You’re allowed to be tired.
You’re allowed to have an off day.
You’re allowed to take space when you need it.
What we ask is awareness of yourself, and of others.
What doesn’t belong on our trips
To protect the collective, Gone International does not tolerate:
- Bullying, intimidation, or exclusion
- Repeated disruptive or disrespectful behaviour
- Discrimination of any kind
- Consistent negativity that impacts the group
- Expecting care without reciprocity
This isn’t about perfection.
It’s about intention.
A shared responsibility
Gone International trips work because everyone contributes quietly, naturally, imperfectly.
You don’t need to perform.
You don’t need to impress anyone.
Just come as you are with kindness, curiosity, and care.
